In Franco‑era Spain, female teachers fall in love, a relationship criminal. When her parents fear her child’s imprisonment, she is locked in a clinic and subjected to electroshock therapy. After Franco’s death she is freed, under her mother’s watch, but her father helps her escape to reunite with her lover, the abuse has left her health fragile.
