A Heist with Markiplier

Markiplier and his assistant infiltrate a museum, bypassing security to reach the vault. They locate the ancient box and obtain the two keys required to open it. An alarm erupts, shattering the stillness and forcing a frantic decision about their escape.

With sirens wailing, they debate two routes to safety: a sewer tunnel or a bomb entry to blast open the vault. Each option promises a different set of dangers and surprising twists, foreshadowing the branching paths ahead. The choice seals their fates for multiple possible endings later in the story.

They choose the sewer route, but the tunnel splits into a dark path and a light path, offering divergent routes and fates. Mark presses for splitting up, which sows tension and sets up the unpredictable outcomes. The split marks the first major fork in their timeline.

The light tunnel carries them to the middle of the ocean, where events diverge in two directions. In one thread the assistant is abducted by pirates, while in another thread the duo is stranded on a deserted island. Both branches introduce new threats and surprising visitors.

If they take the dark tunnel, Mark keeps suggesting splitting up, leading to dangerous outcomes. One path ends with Mark’s death or disappearance, while a separate ending introduces Darkiplier who claims to have hidden codes in every ending and calls Mark a liar snake. The tension escalates toward the film’s big reveal.

Not splitting and continuing together leads them into a tunnel inhabited by the Sewer Cult. Chaos erupts as the duo confronts the cult and their rites. In a crucial moment the assistant holds Mark over a pit, testing intentions and mercy.

If the assistant lets Mark go, he escapes the tunnel and their chase ends there. If they hang on, they both fall with the box into a lower chamber. A wormhole device is discovered by Mark, allowing them to escape and return to the start.

Choosing the bomb route, they escape the vault and reach a helicopter. The helicopter option introduces a rehabilitation prison where the assistant can try to gain respect from guards or prisoners, leading to multiple endings.

One ending available on the helicopter track features a box that contains a fairy granting wishes, but its noise attracts the attention of a guard who confiscates it. In another twist, the assistant is entangled in a deception as Bob the marshal is revealed to be Wade, complicating identities and loyalties.

If the car route is chosen instead of the helicopter, the car breaks down and the team must decide to walk or fix the car. Each choice sends them toward different encounters and dangers along the road.

Fixing the car leads to a sinkhole splitting them up. The assistant reaches a cave where Illinois hands a cursed monkey statue and asks them to place it on a pedestal. Refusing leads to possession; placing it briefly transports them to monkey heaven.

Walking prompts a zombie chase and the assistant is bitten. Telling the truth about the bite leads to a grim fate where the assistant is shot or doomed to live with the zombies; lying opens a route toward Fort Brannagan, a zombie-proof shelter, and a tense inspection by Ed the soldier.

The vault box is revealed to be the world’s oldest picnic basket. The assistant must choose between two ancient foods: a 2000-year-old peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a 17 AD tuna fish sandwich. The former turns the assistant into a relaxed zombie, while the latter could cure the zombie virus.

A scientist explains that an anomaly has warped time and space and that the assistant might be the anomaly itself. If they flee, the assistant becomes a zombie and attacks Mark; if they accept their fate, Mark sacrifices himself to save them. Destroying the box reveals the branching timeline briefly before returning to the 31st ending at the museum, leaving everyone at the start confused.
