For two millennia, the story of Christ’s death and resurrection has profoundly shaped Western culture. This film explores how the Easter narrative has been interpreted and portrayed by artists throughout history, from early Christian times to the present day. Showcasing a range of artistic styles—triumphant, savage, ethereal, and tactile—the documentary examines the historical and cultural significance of this pivotal moment, with locations including Jerusalem, Europe, and the United States.
