A judge who survived the 1849 gold rush hires a traveling acting troupe to stage a nostalgic reenactment of those days. Their theatrical venture takes a dangerous turn when a genuine gold vein is uncovered nearby, and a local girl is abducted by a ruthless gambler, forcing the performers into real peril.
