Following the 1905 revolution, a year later the secret police has suppressed most social democratic fighters. One group remains, planning a daring raid on a factory cash desk, led by the young and inexperienced Grey. As Grey navigates this dangerous mission, he begins a passionate affair with a poetess named Violet, immersing himself in the vibrant and decadent world of artists and writers. Violet, in turn, becomes drawn into the revolutionary struggle, revealing new perspectives on the ongoing conflict and the perils it holds.
