In 1967 the first television adaptation of Wonder Woman aired, showing Diana living with her mother near a United States Air Force base. Her mother constantly nags her about not having a boyfriend. When left alone, Diana slips into her Wonder Woman costume, gazes at her reflection, and sees a confident, glamorous heroine (played by Linda Harrison) who preens and strikes poses as “Oh, You Beautiful Doll” plays on the soundtrack. The short film centers on this playful transformation.
