Created in 1978 in close partnership with the Surinamese activist group LOSON, this anti‑colonial, feminist documentary follows five Surinamese women after Suriname’s 1975 independence. It also examines the challenges faced by Surinamese migrants in the Netherlands and the hostile attitudes they encountered.
