In 1975 French Oscar‑winning documentarian Pierre Dominique Gaisseau traveled to Panama with his wife and daughter, lived a year among the island‑dwelling Kuna, earned their trust and filmed ceremonies. He promised to share the film but never did. Fifty years later the Kuna still await “their” film, passed down. A copy found in Paris prompts filmmaker Andrés Peyrot to revisit the story, questioning documentary ownership.
