Barbara Kopple’s 1998 documentary tracks Woody Allen’s devotion to early 20th‑century New Orleans jazz. Named for a tune credited to either Jelly Roll Morton or Louis Armstrong, it spotlights Allen’s 1996 European tour with his New Orleans Jazz Band, a group he has played clarinet with for over 25 years. The tour also marked the first major public glimpse of his relationship with Soon‑Yi Previn.
