White Lady

Pearl and Jonathan arrive in Manila to study at the Arts Academy. They hope for new opportunities in art and life, but immediately enter a social world with rules and hierarchies. The campus atmosphere signals that their friendship will be tested by ambition and popularity.

Mimi and her clique take an interest in Pearl and Jonathan, offering friendship in exchange for academic favors. Pearl is flattered but wary, realizing Mimi wields manipulation to get what she wants. Jonathan enjoys the power and inclusion that comes with the group, even as underlying tensions simmer.

Pearl rebuffs the clique and refuses to be used. Jonathan joins a powerful fraternity, becoming more entangled in campus politics. The two friends begin to drift apart as their priorities diverge.

Pearl experiences uncanny phenomena on campus at night, including visions of a woman in white singing a lullaby. The strange occurrences suggest a local legend haunts the school grounds. Fear spreads as more students whisper about the haunting.

Jonathan learns from Pepo that the original storage shed burned down and that Pepo claims to have seen the White Lady near the site. The mystery deepens as they piece together fragments of the legend. The haunting appears connected to the school's hidden spaces and past tragedies.

Pearl befriends Tasya, an elderly resident living on campus. Tasya explains Christina’s story, a girl who suffered under Mimi’s cruelty. Pearl feels a kinship with Christina and is drawn deeper into the mystery.

A flashback reveals Christina's friendship with Robbie after he rescues her from Mimi’s gang. Robbie’s father opposes their relationship and pressures him to choose Mimi. The tension foreshadows the tragedy that follows.

Pearl lands the lead in the school play, triggering Mimi’s jealousy and ire. Meanwhile, Pearl and Robbie begin a romantic relationship, drawing attention from Mimi and increasing the stakes of their social battles. Tensions escalate around performance, loyalty, and hidden feelings.

During a Halloween feast, Pearl learns that her mother has leukemia and plans to return to Iloilo. Robbie’s obsession grows as he sees Christina’s vision on his cellphone. Pearl grapples with fear, loyalty, and the truth behind Christina’s story.

Pearl escapes to a gypsy tent and witnesses Christina’s final moments, learning more about Robbie’s crime. Robbie captures Pearl and drags her toward the storage shed, while Jonathan tries to intervene. The shed is set ablaze; Christina’s presence spirals Robbie into a fatal crash, and Pearl and Jonathan manage to escape.

Pearl and Jonathan survive the ordeal and return to safety. Christina’s soul appears to depart toward the afterlife, offering a closing sense of peace. Pearl vows to care for Tasya and remember Christina, as Christina’s lullaby echoes in the night.

Sometime later, Pearl returns to Iloilo to visit Tasya and mourn her mother’s death. Tasya senses Christina’s spirit leaving for heaven, reinforcing their bond. The film closes on a quiet note of resilience and friendship, with Christina’s lullaby lingering in the air.
