A struggling horror director, Kôji Kuroishi, and his assistant, Miho Ichikawa, journey to a remote mountain house to film a new project. As inexplicable events unfold, Kuroishi decides to document them, aided by a dedicated volunteer, Shôhei Uno, and a psychic medium, Nanashi, hoping to create a compelling and terrifying film.
