To prevent the union, the watchmaker sends Urban on a perilous quest to find a legendary watch said to foretell death. The existence of the watch is uncertain, but Urban must succeed or he will be forever denied Laura's hand. His journey tests his bravery, skill, and kindness as he faces numerous hardships.
