In the wake of the June 1967 defeat, a senior commander demands an inquiry into its cause. His insistence triggers prison commander Jaafari to order his assassination. When a rebel commander refuses to ignore the demand, Jaafari’s attempt to persuade him during a special visit ends with Jaafari being shot. The film, “Behind the Sun,” situates its drama in this volatile era.
