How Victorious (2020) ends, what the final scene means, which earlier moments set it up and how to read the ending if the film leaves it open. The full ending explained, with every spoiler.
Victorious never really got a proper ending. The show was cancelled in 2013 after four seasons, leaving Tori Vega's story without a true series finale. Unlike other Nickelodeon hits that received proper conclusions or revival films, Victorious simply stopped, with its final episode airing as just another installment rather than a goodbye. This abrupt conclusion has left fans wondering for over a decade what happened to Tori and her friends at Hollywood Arts.
The lack of closure makes the possibility of a revival particularly compelling. Victoria Justice has expressed openness to returning, noting that reuniting with her former castmates would be a "wildly nostalgic experience." However, she also acknowledges that there is merit in letting the show exist purely as a memory, a testament to a specific moment in time. The tension between wanting more and preserving what was lies at the heart of whether Victorious should return.
Complicating matters is the shadow cast by recent revelations about the show's creator, Dan Schneider. Following the documentary Quiet on Set, which alleged unsafe working conditions and inappropriate behavior during Schneider's tenure at Nickelodeon, the prospect of revisiting Victorious has become more fraught. Justice herself has admitted to having complicated feelings, acknowledging Schneider's role in her career while also recognizing that she was not always treated fairly. Whether a revival could move forward without his involvement, or whether the association has permanently tainted the show's legacy, remains an open question. For now, the ending of Victorious remains an unfinished song, suspended somewhere between nostalgia and uncertainty.
