Julita discovers she is pregnant after a frog test, a development that should be joyous but becomes a crisis because the pregnancy results from premarital sex with Paco, a mechanic whose responsibility is disputed. Her father, Don Ramiro, a liberal‑minded man, is shocked when she tells him she will raise a son without a father, and he begins to search for a solution through his stance on gun regulation.
