Following the death of his grandmother Emma, Robin Hunzinger and his mother Claudie discover a collection of letters Emma received from a girl named Marcelle. The letters recount a secret romance that blossomed between Emma and Marcelle while they were students in Dijon during the 1920s. Their relationship ended after two years, and Marcelle was later admitted to a sanatorium due to tuberculosis. Combining old photographs, archival footage, and music, Hunzinger crafts a poignant and poetic exploration of their lost love.
