Five college friends — Shyam, Emaan, Pooja, Priya, and Irene — reunite when Emaan marries, years after they drifted apart.

The film opens with Pooja leaving the United States to travel to India for Emaan’s wedding. Back home, the remaining friends throw themselves into wedding preparations and catch up on one another, while the story frequently slips into vivid flashbacks from their college days. In these memories, Emaan and Irene reconnect after years and discover they were once in love. Irene, facing an unstable family situation, ultimately withdraws from that relationship as Emaan chases his long-held dream of becoming a successful cricketer.

Another thread of memory centers on Shyam, a fun-loving, tomboyish girl named Pooja who was his best friend. Shyam realizes he is falling for Priya, while Pooja herself begins to fall for Shyam. The two of them plan to confess their feelings on the upcoming Valentine’s Day, but on that day, Pooja learns that Shyam’s heart belongs to Priya. She keeps her own love hidden, even as Shyam eventually proposes to Priya. Priya rejects him, clinging to a traditional view of partnership and revealing she will marry the man chosen by her parents after graduation. Pooja then heads to the United States for further studies, and Shyam channels his energy into becoming a fashion designer and trying to move on with his life.

The present day returns on the morning of Emaan’s wedding. Pooja arrives, changed by time and experience, no longer the tomboy she once was. Over the course of the celebration, Shyam comes to understand how much he missed her presence and realizes that she has become central to his life. After the wedding, Pooja leaves for the U.S., but just before boarding, she passes him the long-lost Valentine’s Day card and confesses that she has always loved him. Hearing this, Shyam recognizes that Pooja is the one he was meant to be with, not Priya, and the film closes with him embracing her love.
