An anthology of three short films directed by three leading Brazilian auteurs of the 20th century. In the first tale, a desperate mother turns to black magic, offering a virgin to the Devil to cure her ailing son. The second follows a courageous laborer who confronts a horde of guerrilla‑ghosts that haunt a village. The final story centers on a young man terrified of reptiles and being buried alive; after a shocking episode he is mistakenly interred, only to awaken inside the coffin.
