Two outcasts in 19th‑century Eastern Europe—Alexandre, raised by a nomadic family and shunned by townsfolk, and Ulysse, marginalized for his deformities—become friends and live on the edge of a marsh said to be haunted by demons and goblins. After a murder nearby, peasants blame them as evil beings to be hunted.
