Set in Taiwan in the early 1980s, this film draws inspiration from the wave of female revenge/exploitation movies produced during that era. It recreates a fantasy of bloody retribution while revisiting historical sources from the 1970s and 1980s, a period when Taiwan was under martial law. As part of a series exploring Taiwanese history, the film offers a glimpse into a turbulent time through a lens of stylized action and vengeance.
