In 1961 an Albanian film student at Prague’s Academy of Performing Arts joins Czech peers to shoot his graduation project at a motorcycle factory in the market town of Český Šternberk, Czechoslovakia. Isolated from Europe, he is captivated by the Czech youth’s lifestyle yet feels strong ties to his family back home. He becomes involved with a married woman, the superintendent’s wife, and doubts his future.
