Ti Lung plays the Snake Prince, wandering with his snakes when he finds a maiden (Lin Chen‑Chi) praying for rain. Her prayer turns into a lively dance that gathers the village. The prince and his snakes assume human form to join the celebration. Enamoured, he offers the villagers the snakes’ river to marry her, though villagers balk at the match.
