Under the alias Kay Murphy, a Russian exile works as a nightclub singer in Shanghai, yearning only for a tranquil life with her daughter Vera. Her hopes are shattered when her former lover Ivan, also Vera’s father, forces her into the covert crime syndicate known as the Black Dragon. Unaware of her mother’s past, Vera studies at a Hong Kong boarding school. When Ivan resurfaces and blackmails Kay, she resolves to fight back.
