Buying, selling and betraying friends is all part of the game. A former CIA operative returns to spy work when his former student—a bungling agent who defects to the Soviets—pulls him back in. As the operative sinks deeper into the underworld, the student wants to quit both the agency and the USSR. Their choices make both the United States and Russia target them, each sending top hitmen to kill them.
