The Raid: Redemption

Indonesian special tactics officer Rama bids farewell to his father and wife, who is pregnant with their child. He cryptically promises his father that he will 'bring him home,' hinting at the dangerous mission ahead.

Rama joins a 20-man elite police squad for a high-stakes raid on an apartment block owned by crime lord Tama Riyadi. This squad includes Officers Bowo and Dagu, Sergeant Jaka, and Lieutenant Wahyu, all ready to apprehend criminals operating under Tama's protection.

The elite police team stealthily enters the apartment building and quickly subdues a number of criminal tenants. They detain an innocent tenant momentarily, illustrating the dangers of their environment as they progress undetected.

The team is spotted by a young lookout who tries to alert the others. Despite Wahyu's attempt to kill the lookout, the alarm is raised, leading to a swift escalation of violence as Tama calls for reinforcements.

In the ensuing chaos, Tama cuts the lights and announces over the PA system that the police are trapped on the sixth floor. The remaining team members experience overwhelming ambush from hidden shooters and begin to suffer heavy losses.

Under intense pressure, Wahyu reveals to Jaka that the mission was staged for him to eliminate Tama, as both are part of a corrupt system. The team realizes they are entirely cut off and in severe danger, with no official backing.

The remaining police officers regroup in an empty apartment, desperately trying to escape their pursuers. They create an improvised explosive device that manages to clear a path, allowing them a moment to strategize their next move.

Rama and Bowo seek refuge in apartment 726 after pleading with the law-abiding tenant. Despite initial hesitance, the tenant hides them in a secret space just before armed thugs ransack his apartment, narrowly escaping detection.

While searching for Jaka's team, Rama encounters a gang armed with machetes. He fights them off with his bare hands, showcasing his skills, and eventually defeats their leader by using him to leap from the window, plummeting to a fire escape below.

Rama unexpectedly crosses paths with Andi, discovering their relationship as estranged brothers. Rama's determination to rescue his comrades clashes with Andi's commitment to his criminal life, setting the stage for their inevitable conflict.

Jaka and his team face Mad Dog, a formidable opponent who captures Jaka. Instead of simply killing him, Mad Dog opts for a dangerous hand-to-hand combat challenge, which ultimately ends with Jaka's tragic demise.

Wahyu betrays and kills Dagu during their confrontation with Tama. As the situation escalates, Wahyu's desperation leads him to take Tama hostage, but the exchange reveals Wahyu's own role in the corrupt scheme.

Rama, having regrouped with Andi, faces Mad Dog in a climactic battle. Together, the brothers defeat Mad Dog, but not without significant struggle, showcasing their combined strength and sibling bond.

Following the chaos, Wahyu attempts to escape with Tama but ends up panicking and killing him. Realizing the true depth of his betrayal, Wahyu tries to take his own life, only to discover his weapon is empty.

In the aftermath, Andi ensures Rama and Bowo can safely leave, giving them leverage against corrupt officers. Despite Rama's plea for Andi to return home, his brother chooses to remain in the criminal world, leaving Rama with a heavy heart as they part ways.
