The Knight Before Christmas

On December 18, 1334, in Norwich, England, knight Sir Cole Christopher Fredrick Lyons and his brother Geoffrey participate in an annual Christmas hawking competition. This event sets the stage for Cole's unexpected journey into the future.

While searching for a hawk in the woods, Cole encounters an old crone named Kayela. She offers to send him on a knightly quest with a magical medallion, warning him that failing to fulfill the quest by midnight on Christmas Eve would prevent him from becoming a true knight.

Cole finds himself transported to the year 2019, landing in Bracebridge, Ohio. Confused by the modern world and its innovations, he is accidentally hit by a car driven by high school teacher Brooke Winters.

After the accident, Cole is taken to the hospital, where Officer Stevens assumes he has amnesia given his medieval claims. Brooke offers him a place to stay while he recovers, beginning his acclimatization to the modern world.

As Cole recovers at Brooke's guest home, he starts to learn about modern innovations like radios and diners. He also begins to charm Brooke's friends and family, who find his old-fashioned ways amusing.

Cole and Brooke develop a deeper bond as they share personal stories. Brooke opens up about her past relationships, while Cole hints at his own history, strengthening their connection and understanding of one another.

While continuing his quest, Cole heroically rescues two children in danger on a frozen lake. He also catches a thief attempting to steal, hoping these acts will count as fulfilling his quest.

On December 24, Cole helps Brooke host a beautiful Christmas feast, bringing joy to those around them. During this festive time, he learns about the tradition of mistletoe, leading to a significant moment between him and Brooke.

After sharing a romantic kiss under the mistletoe, Cole's medallion lights up, indicating he has completed his quest. The moment is bittersweet, as it leads to their impending farewell.

Cole is walked back to the Christmas Castle by Brooke, where he must return to the 14th century. Heartbroken, they say goodbye, not knowing when or if they will meet again.

Cole arrives back in 1334 just in time for his brother's knighting ceremony. Although Geoffrey welcomes him, he quickly senses Cole's sadness and encourages him to seek Brooke once more.

Recognizing his true feelings for Brooke, Cole sets out into the woods to find Kayela again. He declares that he has completed his quest and fervently wishes to return to the future.

Kayela reappears and uses her magic to transport Cole back to 2019. He arrives on Christmas Day, eager to reunite with Brooke and express his love for her.

At the Christmas Castle, Cole joyfully declares his love for Brooke and desires to remain with her. Overjoyed, Brooke accepts, and together they ride into the sunset on Cole's horse Sherwyn.

In a post-credits scene, Geoffrey meets Kayela, who requests his assistance much like she did with Cole. Holding another glowing medallion, this hints at Geoffrey's own upcoming adventure.
