The Invisible Raptor

The film concludes with the raptor escaping in a chaotic and comedic fashion—after stealing the keys from scientist William Walsh, it rips them from his hand and even grabs his eyeball, making it easy to bypass the retina scanner and flee the lab. The story then shows Sean Astin’s character, who is killed off-screen but cleverly set up to look like he’s still working at his desk, fooling anyone who might check. This death adds a humorous touch, emphasizing the film’s absurd tone and low stakes.

Detective work by Dr. Grant Walker hints at the presence of the raptor through a series of clues: strange animal poop, footprints, claw marks, and a growling audio recording, all of which lead him to suspect the creature is loose. Interestingly, the raptor is dubbed “Chance,” a name that playfully suggests it was just waiting around until the quirky human characters showed up, adding to the film’s comedic spirit.

The team then tries to enlist Henrietta McCluckskey’s help, convincing her by tapping into her conspiracy theories about government experiments with ninja chickens and small farms. Once she’s on board, they shift to a backup plan involving an exploding-tipped arrow, reminiscent of ‘80s action movies like Rambo. The plan ultimately works, with the raptor being lured and trapped—culminating in a humorous and absurd showdown. Throughout the film, the characters’ self-awareness and playful attitude highlight that the real fun is in the ridiculousness of the scenario, giving a comedic yet satisfying end to the raptor’s rampage.
