Will, Neil, and Jay all find themselves reeling after their respective relationships fall apart. Simon is particularly eager to end things with his overly clingy girlfriend, Lucy, who has become a significant distraction in his life.

As Will and Simon transition into university life, Neil finds himself working a mundane job at a bank. Meanwhile, Jay embarks on an adventurous gap year in Australia, where he entices his friends to join him for a holiday.

Jay shares stories of his life as a top DJ in luxurious settings, leading Will and Simon to believe he is living the dream. His tales of partying and multiple partners ignites their curiosity and convinces them to travel to Australia.

Upon their arrival, Will and Simon are stunned to learn that Jay is actually working as a toilet attendant and living in a tent in his uncle's garden. This revelation shatters their illusions of his glamorous lifestyle.

At a local club, Will meets Katie, an old friend who is backpacking through the area. Inspired by her adventurous spirit, Will begins to consider diving headfirst into his own journey of self-discovery.

In an attempt to break up with Lucy over Skype, Simon inadvertently makes it seem like he has proposed to her. This hilarious misunderstanding leads to a series of unfortunate events for Simon.

The group sets out on a road trip to Byron Bay, motivated by Will's desire to find Katie. They drive a car inspired by singer Peter Andre, marking the beginning of their hilarious misadventures.

As Will tries to immerse himself in the backpacker lifestyle, he embarrassingly fails to fit in, being perceived as just another tourist. His attempts at blending in lead to misunderstandings and awkward encounters.

After visiting a water park, Jay decides he needs to find his ex-girlfriend, Jane, who is located in the remote Birdsville. The boys rally together to help Jay on this quest, determined to reunite him with his lost love.

In a dire situation, the boys' car runs out of petrol in the middle of the desert. Simon attempts to drink Neil's urine out of desperation, leading to comedic relief in an otherwise tense moment.

Just as they confront the grim possibility of death, help arrives unexpectedly. They are rescued hours later by Jane and her friends, who turn the boys' plight into a memorable story.

Back at Jay's uncle's house, the boys are surprised to find their parents waiting for them. Among them is Mr. Gilbert, their old head teacher, who is now dating Will's mother, adding to the comedic chaos.

In a display of newfound courage, Jay confronts his uncle about disrespectful comments made towards Jane. This leads to a humorous brawl, showcasing the dysfunctional dynamics within their family.

Amidst the turmoil, Lucy shocks Simon by breaking up with him over Skype. To Simon's surprise, she reveals she is now dating his best friend from university, leaving him in a daze, yet ultimately amused.

As the film comes to a close, the group decides to embark on yet another adventure, this time to Vietnam. However, Will's shock at his mother’s engagement to Mr. Gilbert leads to a humorous attempt to escape.
