Jitka, a tender‑aged twelve‑year‑old, experiences her first stirrings of affection. She befriends a young man confined to a hospital bed after becoming paralyzed, and begins visiting him each day. As she watches his painstaking recovery, she remains unaware that her concern may be blossoming into a deeper, unspoken love.
