The government creates a special zombie‑containment unit after a viral outbreak turns the population into mindless corpses. The squad travels to Ohio seeking a cure, but they encounter an extremist cult that worships the undead, believing preserving the walking dead fulfills God’s will. The team must confront both the infected and the fanatical believers.
