After his mother and sister are murdered, Jiro is wrongly blamed and flees, meeting priest Tenkai, who tasks him with killing the rogue ninja Tarouza. Trained as an assassin, Jiro later learns Tarouza was his father, who abandoned his mission for love. Discovering the shogunate’s plan to recover Captain Kidd’s treasure to isolate Japan, Jiro, ninja Oyuki and slave Sam follow Tarouza’s clues across Russia and America, seeking the treasure and revenge on Tenkai.
