The Curse of the Necklace (2024) Plot Summary & Ending Explained

In the film's climax, Ellen manages to connect with Jonah’s spirit, who had been hiding in fear during the seance. Despite Judith (who is possessed by William’s spirit) attacking her family, Ellen risks her own safety to communicate with Jonah and ask him to possess her. This act of love is the only way to free William’s spirit from the evil's grip, as loving words and compassion are what he desperately needed. When Jonah’s spirit enters Ellen, he is able to persuade William to leave Judith’s body, promising love and understanding. With that, the evil disappears, and William’s spirit is freed, but only temporarily.
