Camp commander Kraft discovers prisoner Kominek was once a professional boxer and makes him his daily training partner, granting the inmate an uneasy privileged status. When Kominek’s friend is killed, his fury sparks an open revolt. The film portrays fascist cruelty through a tragic tale of a man forced to play an unequal survival game.
