Arsène Lupin is beloved for sharing his loot with the needy. Before serving German Emperor Wilhelm II, he empties his Alsace vault, steals two old‑master paintings and valuable gems, then taunts the police prefect to avoid capture. This time he risks being unmistakably identified, forcing Lupin to rely on his brilliant intellect to escape.
