Neil takes an oath to stay celibate in anticipation of a religious ceremony. He is aware that his 'church' is actually a Satan-worshiping cult, but only his parents and the other members know the true purpose of the ritual. He understands the ceremony will involve sacrificing him to Satan, which sets up the urgency to escape.

During the ceremony, Neil spots a dagger and realizes what is about to happen. He and his best friend Matt manage to slip away from the ritual just as the dagger is raised. They barely escape through the confusion, leaving the cult stunned.

Cult leader Sheldon orders Collette and Brad to locate and bring them back. Neil and Matt realize they must stay on the move to avoid capture. The pressure of pursuit drives them to improvise as they run.

Realizing that safety depends on Neil's virginity, they decide to seek Denise's help. They understand Denise is Neil's friend and crush, the one who could help them escape safely. They resolve to find her and persuade her to participate.

Neil and Matt go to Denise's house and explain the situation in frantic terms. Denise initially doubts the story, but Brad and Collette arrive at her home, pressuring her and confirming the danger. She finally agrees to help them escape the cult.

At Cheryl's party, they hope to give Neil a chance to have sex. Neil is confronted by two school bullies, whom he humbles with a magic trick. Cheryl invites him upstairs for sex, heightening the stakes as the night unfolds.

Denise arrives at Cheryl's party to warn that Brad and Collette are closing in. The group narrowly escapes, but Denise is kidnapped by the cult during the chaos.

Following Denise's kidnapping, they attempt to secure a sexual option at a brothel. Matt loses his virginity; the cult closes in, and Matt distracts them so Neil and Denise can escape in one of the cars.

Neil and Denise confess their feelings as they flee, and he attempts to have sex in an alley, but climax comes too early. The cult quickly catches up and recaptures them.

In a locked cell, Matt offers to give Neil his virginity to save him, but the plan stalls as they are moved toward the altar room. The trio remains in jeopardy while the cult closes in.

Denise infiltrates the altar room, knocks over a large candelabra, igniting the drapes behind the altar. She climbs onto the altar and has sex with Neil, while Matt uses the burning candelabra to fend off the cult, destroying their sacrificial plan.

Some time later, Neil's parents have become devout Christians. Neil and Denise are dating, and Matt is headed to Bible study with three pretty girls.
