Dan Doolittle, a talkative but down‑on‑his‑luck plumber, gets fired, rescues Dolly Davis, and she secures him a job at her father’s Owl Taxi garage. He quickly becomes the foreman’s nightmare, mistakenly believes Dolly’s brother is her boyfriend, and hatches a scheme to buy a cab and start his own company. A series of mishaps—including inflatable legs and the foreman’s dismissal—turn his ambitions into comedic chaos.
