In the final hours of Stolen Girl, Elisa’s desperate attempt to confront her abusive father ends in tragedy: when she sees Daniel Stanton standing near her daughter Lucia, she pushes him down the stairs, killing him. Panicked, she and her lover Marcus drive away, but in the frantic escape they crash into a parked car, killing the occupants—Rebecca’s husband Nicolas and their little daughter Rose.
