This film reimagines the historical oppression of women, exploring violence enacted under the guise of religion, medicine, and familial duty. A High Priestess represents unrestrained female desire and a challenge to male dominance, while a Midwife embodies the spirit of women who sought knowledge and control over their bodies, often at great personal cost. Through intense and visceral rituals, these women unite to reclaim their physical autonomy and prepare for a coming conflict.
