Spectacular!

Flux performs at a nightclub as the opening credits roll. Nikko Alexander slips in through the back and sabotages an amp for effect, then is kicked out by the band. His girlfriend Amy dumps him, and Courtney Lane tries to recruit him for Spectacular!.

At the carnival, Spectacular! performs Eye of the Tiger. Nikko is unimpressed and declines to join the group. Later, Ta-Da performs 'Things We Do for Love' while Courtney presses her case, contrasting the two choirs in style.

Nikko meets music producer Mr. Dickenson, who explains that a record deal could be in reach if he can raise money for demo equipment. Nikko recalls Courtney's offer of half the earnings and decides to join Spectacular! to fund his demo. The decision sets him on a path that blends risk with ambition.

Courtney initially refuses to let him join, but Nikko demonstrates his vocal prowess by performing Break My Heart in front of the group. The members are impressed by his abilities and decide to welcome him into Spectacular!. He begins rehearsals, navigating the difficulty of learning show choir dance routines.

A few days later, Spectacular! perform in hideous cowboy costumes at the club where Flux once played. Nikko runs into his former band and confrontation with Flux ensues, while Ta-Da performs Lonely Love Song. He learns Royce is Courtney's ex and resolves to help Spectacular! win by pushing new moves and ideas.

Nikko challenges the group to try something fresh, introducing Your Own Way. The others reluctantly join in, and practice sessions take place every night at Nikko's house while daytime rehearsals with Courtney continue. The plan is to surprise Courtney with a more dynamic routine that could win the competition.

Before the competition week, four Spectacular! members join a bowling night and encounter Tammi and Royce from Ta-Da. They perform a playful Rock Band-style piece called Rock The World and an old duet 'For the First Time' with Courtney and Nikko. The chemistry between Nikko and Courtney begins to surface during the evening.

Nikko invites Courtney to his rooftop where the group performs Your Own Way for her. Courtney accuses Nikko of betraying her by rehearsing behind her back and leaves in a huff. The moment sows tension but also foreshadows their evolving partnership.

Nikko heads to Courtney's house to apologize after the fallout with Ta-Da. Courtney rejects Royce’s advances and instead acknowledges Nikko’s intent to change the group. They agree to combine their strengths and prepare Something to Believe In, guided by Mr. Romano’s suggestion.

Mr. Dickinson visits Nikko and Stavros to outline a record deal that hinges on an audition on Saturday night. Nikko is torn between his commitment to Spectacular! and the chance to sign with Flux, with Stavros urging him to take the opportunity. The decision weighs heavily as the clock ticks toward the show.

On the eve of the audition, Courtney shows up at Nikko's place. Rather than anger, she kisses him on the cheek and wishes him luck, signaling renewed support for their collaboration. This moment foreshadows the reconciliation to come on stage.

Ta-Da takes the stage with On the Wings of a Dream to thunderous applause. Flux also auditions for the record deal, but the producers indicate disinterest, suggesting Nikko hasn’t yet found his own path. Stavros notes that Nikko is warming up, setting the stage for Spectacular!’s turn.

When it's Spectacular!'s turn to sing Something to Believe In, Nikko arrives onstage just before the chorus and belts out a powerful note. Flux provides the backing, and Mr. Romano hits the guitar to realize his own dream. The entire group earns a standing ovation.

Ta-Da is declared the winner, but Spectacular! is disqualified because Flux were unregistered members. Tammi reveals she used Royce to win, and breaks up with him, ending the couple's rivalry. Despite the loss, Nikko’s performance wins him a record deal, and he and Courtney share a kiss.

In the studio, Spectacular!, Flux, and Mr. Romano work together to record Everything Can Change with Nikko and Courtney as lead singers. The border between competing acts blurs as they begin a united project for the future.
