The plot follows the Jane Cowl play, with Norma Talmadge playing both Kathleen and her aunt Moonyean. Irish Kathleen falls for Kenneth Wayne, yet her guardian John Carteret blocks it, driven by lingering grief over his failed romance with Moonyean, her aunt. His obsession with that lost love fuels his interference, echoing generational tragedy.
