Seizou, an ambitious tattoo artist, longs to create art that will outlive him. He finds the perfect canvas in the unblemished back of a graduate student who excels in color theory and block‑printing. He kidnaps her and inks an ancient Japanese princess onto her skin. The mesmerizing ink and her own prints gradually transform both of them, reversing their dynamic and binding them together in a shared destiny.
