Seeds (2026) Plot Summary & Ending Explained

Ziggy’s return to her reserve home ends up turning the influencer‑styled comedy into a stark, almost mythic showdown. After a day of filming reels in the woods, she discovers that Drake—a muscle‑bound stranger who has been trailing her with the help of her old friend Nookie—has broken into the house. In a brutal flash, Drake murders Ziggy’s cat, Potato, tearing off the animal’s ear before killing her, a act that fuels Ziggy’s vengeance.

The murder is revealed to be a calculated move by the Nature’s Oath Seeds Corporation: they sent Drake to steal the heirloom corn and squash seeds that Aunty Mama has guarded for generations. Ziggy, whose lineage of seed‑keeping is hinted at throughout the film, is captured, bound to a chair, and taken to a bleak, dream‑like space where a television version of Graham Greene appears as a spiritual guide, urging her to remember her roots.
