A traditional elderly priest is sent to lead the apostolate in a working‑class suburb of Madrid, but the neighborhood’s progressive, anti‑religious atmosphere rebuffs his old‑fashioned methods. The Archbishop reprimands him and urges a modern approach, citing a young priest’s successful parish. He attempts to copy those tactics, triggering a series of unexpected events.
