Scurry (2025) Plot Summary & Ending Explained

Scurry ends with Mark emerging from the darkness of the tunnel alone. After Kate collapses and dies, the endless crawling sounds of the spider‑like creatures grow louder behind him. In a moment of desperation he finally gets a signal on his phone and listens to a voice‑mail from his wife Liv. She tells him to stop drowning in guilt, urges him to come home, and reveals the monsters’ weakness: they come from below and swell to enormous size when exposed to daylight.

Armed with this fragment of hope, Mark rigs the phone’s alarm to a bottle of alcohol he found in Kate’s pack, hoping the noise will lure a monster away from the exit. The creature indeed follows the sound and drags Kate’s body into the darkness, clearing a path. As another monster lunges at him, Mark douses it with the alcohol and ignites it with his lighter, buying a brief window to crawl forward. He bursts into the open, only to be greeted by a devastated cityscape and a gigantic monster striding among the ruins.
