Satan’s Sadists

At a desert cafe, the Satans assert their power and unsettle the patrons, turning the place into a tense danger zone. They push around the staff and customers, laying the groundwork for brutal violence that follows. The encounter sets the tone for the gang's brutal behavior in the region.

Johnny Martin, a Vietnam veteran, is hitchhiking when ex-cop Chuck Baldwin and his wife Nora pick him up. They chat about leaving the desert town for Los Angeles to 'live a little.' The encounter pulls Johnny into the web of strangers in the desert.

Tracy, a waitress, arrives at the desert diner in a red dune buggy and explains her lateness to her boss Lew. Nora spots the cafe and invites the group to eat there, setting the stage for Johnny and Tracy to meet. Johnny and Tracy quickly discuss getting away from the town together.

The Satans return to the cafe, with Romeo harassing Tracy and Gina dancing for Anchor. Lou shuts off the jukebox and declares the place is for eating, not entertainment. The atmosphere grows hostile as the gang asserts control over the scene.

From behind the cafe, the gang abducts Lew, Chuck, and Nora. Nora is raped, and Anchor explains their hatred of cops as the atrocity unfolds. The trio is killed and their car, carrying the lovers, is hurled off a cliff, sealing the brutality in the desert.

Johnny and Tracy flee in Tracy's dune buggy, knocking out Muscle and Romeo as they escape. The Satans pursue them across the open desert, turning a simple escape into a high-stakes chase. The couple clings to hope as they push toward safety.

The dune buggy is damaged during the escape and eventually breaks down. Johnny and Tracy abandon the vehicle and press on on foot toward the nearest town. They rely on grit to survive the harsh desert as the chasing gang closes in.

The gang, now scattered, comes across three female campers—Carol, Jan, and Lois—and spends time with them at the campsite. Jealousy consumes Gina, who drives off a cliff in a suicide, muttering Anchor's name as she dies. The campers' safety is compromised by the gang's volatile behavior.

Willie tracks Johnny and Tracy but is bitten by a rattlesnake and dies alone in the desert. His death removes a pursuer from the chase, altering the dynamics of the pursuit in the isolated landscape.

Firewater searches for Willie and finds his body, then returns to discover that Anchor has murdered the three women. The revelation deepens the danger and signals a shift in the gang's momentum as Firewater contemplates revenge.

A tense confrontation erupts as Firewater confronts Anchor amid the chaos. The exchange underscores the collapse of any restraint within the gang, and Firewater fights for his life against the increasingly unhinged leader.

During the struggle, a landslide crashes into Firewater, ending his pursuit. Before dying, he tells Johnny that Anchor is no longer a threat, providing a final grim warning in the wasteland.

Anchor drives toward Johnny and Tracy on the last working motorcycle, proclaiming himself Satan and insisting Johnny must pay his dues. Johnny retaliates with a switchblade, killing Anchor, and the couple rides away on the bike toward the setting sun, free at last from the threat.
