Ben Rushes through the night after learning that his daughter Mazzy has been taken to the cult’s hidden compound. He knows the lake where the earlier victim, Lotte, drowned, and he follows the trail despite his exhaustion and the panic that has been building since his separation from her mother. When he finally reaches the shore, the water itself seems to pulse with a strange, almost‑otherworldly force—the cult’s siren‑like lure that Nina once described.
