The stooges serve as frontier guides escorting a traveling minstrel troupe westward. When hostile Native Americans drive off their horses, the party is stranded and faces a snowstorm, a marauding bear, and further Indian attacks. After a near‑fatal ice‑fishing mishap, they improvise a sail for their wagon and continue west toward their destination.
