Gene Autry returns to the Ohio River for another adventure, this time aboard a traveling showboat. While the parade distracts the townsfolk, two men rob the bank with help from Pop, the showboat’s clown, who hides the loot on the boat and asks his daughter Patsy to retrieve it at a later river stop. Gene’s investigation leads him onto the showboat, where he joins the performers. Together with his sidekick Frog, Gene works to locate the stolen money and aid Patsy and her father.
