A teenager struggling with a difficult home life escapes into fantasy novels and unexpectedly finds herself transported to feudal Japan. There, she joins a ninja master and his students, who train her in the way of the ninja. They discover that an evil warlord, responsible for the girls’ past trauma, plans to destroy them. The girls must then use their newfound skills to confront the warlord and find a path to peace.
