Raised by gambler father Senzo Yano in Kumamoto after her mother’s death, Ryuko loses him at 18 when a stranger murders him. She dissolves her yakuza family, takes the killer’s wallet, and vows revenge. Five years later she roams Japan as the tattooed “Red Peony Oryu,” meeting gambler Katagiri, Shikoku boss Kumatora and Osaka’s Doman Family leader Otaka, who help her finally confront her father’s murderer.
